How I save 2+ hours a week

I mentioned a couple weeks ago that time has lost all meaning for me. Every Monday starts with “Where was I?” and ends with “How is it Thursday?”

I don’t know if it’s an age thing, a mental health thing, or a “too much to do” thing, but I know I don’t like it.

Like, did you know that it’s been almost 3 years since ChatGPT launched? And at the same time... ONLY 3 years?? It feels like we’ve been talking about it for decades.

How can AI feel both brand new and old news? Seriously…

This crazy time warp has caused me to double down on finding ways to both save myself time and keep time from slipping away.

Here are 5 ways I’m doing that.

  1. Date Nights 💕It’s way too easy for Caleb and me to spend the evening parallel scrolling in silence or doing chores in separate areas like roommates. So we started planning date nights. Nothing fancy, just something we do together every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. No phones. No to-do list talk. Just us spending time together like two humans who like each other. Not just living side-by-side, but experiencing life together.
  2. Using AI 🤖 I’m always looking for ways to automate the work I do, and AI is making it easier and easier every day. I use AI to help me plan launches, figure out workflows, hash out project plans, get me moving when I don’t know what to do next, and so much more. It saves me oodles of time every day. Also, if you haven’t named your AI sidekick yet, I highly recommend it. Mine’s Glyph. We're emotionally co-dependent now.
  3. Alarms ⏰ I have alarms for everything. First thing I do when I sit down at my desk is set an alarm for 5 minutes before any Zoom meeting I have to attend, and 15 minutes before I have to leave for anything out of the house. It’s the only way I’ll be on time for anything. I also set an alarm when I’m working on something that I know I might get lost in. If I know I only have 45 minutes to set up a checkout page (complete with automated purchase confirmation) I’m way less likely to obsess over every little detail or overcomplicate the setup. This keeps me in charge of my time and how I use it.
  4. Delegate AMAP (As Much As Possible) 🏳️This one’s still a work in progress, but before I start anything, I ask: “Can someone else do this?” If yes → hand it off. If no (or not this time) → I do it, but then I immediately start thinking about who can do it next time. Because me doing it forever? That’s a big no from future Sandra.
  5. Say it out load 🗣️I type like someone who’s never seen a keyboard. But now I don’t have to know where all 100+ keys are; instead, I just hold down the Fn key, speak my thoughts, and let Wispr Flow do the heavy lifting. I’ve gone from an embarrassing 38 WPM to drafting 171% faster. That’s over 2 hours a week saved, just by talking instead of typing.

Heads up: That’s 👆 an affiliate link for Wispr Flow btw. I use it all day, every day. If you want to try it, we both get $15 when you hit 2,000 words. Which is basically one long rant about what Instagram’s doing to your reach.

I haven’t cracked the time-space continuum yet…
But these little shifts are helping me feel like I’m actually driving the car instead of zoning out in the backseat, missing the scenery.

If time’s been doing weird things to your brain too, try one (or all) of these.

Or just hit reply and tell me your weirdest time-saving hack. I’m always on the hunt for ways to make my weeks feel less like a blur and more like a life.

Xo,
Sandra

PS: Seriously—Wispr Flow is ✨magic✨ for slow typers, fast talkers, and anyone whose fingers can’t keep up with their brain. Here’s that link again if you missed it.

PPS: And if you're spending 10+ hours a week doing stuff someone (or something) else could do, let’s talk. Because your business should support your life, not the other way around.
